the obligatory not so exciting update with pictures to liven things up

We are home! Yay! We are so thankful for safe travel and dry roads as we traveled.

Of course, I am also thankful for the few inches of snow that fell on us just 1 day after arriving home. Puts me in the mood for Christmas after our time in the desert.

Truly, who among would like gets in the mood for Christmas in 70 degree weather?

I keep looking at Joel saying "I love home".

It's our first Christmas in our 1st house so we (or rather I) am having great time decorating for the 1st time. I'll put some pictures up soon.

But for now, some fun pictures from our trip!

There was this adventure:

Followed by the reading of this:

After which we called an end to it. The broken bones I could handle. The paralysis or more?

Not so much.

Of course, he wouldn't have attempted it if his father hadn't tried it first!

I'm thinking of needlepointing "Lead by example" on a pillow...
on my next needlepointing foray of course.

We also saw this traveling down the road:

Now that is one awesome ride, wouldn't you love to have one?!?!

Joel and I then went on to Vegas and had a great few days.

If you have never been to Vegas, the best way to describe it is several cities, within one city.

There was New York City, Italy, Greece, and Paris, all within a few miles.

We also saw Cirque du Soleil which we highly recommend. It was awesome.

We had a great time.

Can you tell who was DONE with pictures by the end of this trip?

(I know what you're thinking. Yes, that's the Bellagio in the background and yes, I did stand where Matt Damon was...ahh.)
